A. Lange & Söhne is a German watch manufacturer founded by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in 1845 in Glashütte, Saxony. The company helped establish Glashütte as a centre of German watchmaking, building a regional tradition that would carry the town's name into horological history. Its activities were interrupted in the mid-twentieth century, and the brand did not resume operations until after German reunification, when it was relaunched in the 1990s.

Following its relaunch, A. Lange & Söhne introduced the Lange 1, which became a signature model for the brand. The manufacturer is known for hand-finished movements, three-quarter plates, and detailing such as hand-engraved balance cocks — characteristics associated with the German haute horlogerie tradition the company represents.
